Project Overview
Holland Country Homes — a bespoke property developer based in Northamptonshire known for premium executive residences with exceptional interior finishes and architectural detail. One of their showcase projects is Field House, a luxury contemporary home designed to blend refined classical architecture with modern performance and interiors. With an emphasis on high-quality materials throughout, flooring was a key interior design element intended to deliver both aesthetic appeal and long-term durability.
Flooring & Finish
The selected product was a small format herringbone — a classic design that remains popular in modern interiors. The traditional 350 x 70mm size breaths both character and craftmanship, whilst the UV cured oil provides the durability required for modern living.
Working with PDQ contract flooring, Elesco colour matched a solid herringbone floor that was initially selected by the client. This was dismissed due to stability concerns with the new under floor heating system.
Design Detailing
Our engineered Riva herringbone was selected due to its enhanced dimensional stability. The multi layer engineered construction allows the floor to perform reliably across large, open-plan areas with under floor heating.
Terra is a rich medium brown colour, complementary to the neutral interior palette, bespoke joinery, and high levels of natural light throughout the property.
Traditional sized herringbone delivers a balance of character, elegance and practicality. The design and careful execution by PDQ Contract flooring contribute significantly to the overall quality of the interior, reinforcing Field House’s position as a high-end, bespoke residence.
